IGP Standard Warranty Terms for EV Chargers
1. Product Warranty (Chargers Only)
Innovative Green Power (IGP) provides a 2-year limited warranty on EV chargers, following the manufacturer’s (Teison) warranty coverage.

- The warranty period starts from the date of delivery.
- Proof of purchase (invoice) and serial number are required for warranty claims.
2. Warranty Validity & Installation Requirements
- Warranty is only valid if the charger is installed by:
- A Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)-registered electrical contractor, or
- A registered competent party, as recognized by relevant authorities.
- Installation protection circuits must comply with or exceed ST guidelines.
- Improper installation, even by a qualified installer, will void the warranty.
3. What the Warranty Covers
- Manufacturing Defects – Faulty components, structural defects, or material faults.
- Electrical Malfunctions – Failure of internal power modules, circuit boards, or control systems.
- Communication Failures – Issues with OCPP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Ethernet connectivity.
The manufacturer (Teison) will determine whether the issue qualifies as a valid warranty claim.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover:
- Improper Installation – Even if done by a qualified installer, if it includes:
- Non-compliant protection circuits
- Substandard wiring or electrical components
- Failure to comply with ST electrical safety guidelines
- Physical Damage – External impact, vandalism, or mishandling.
- Environmental Damage – Fire, flood, lightning strikes, or natural disasters.
- Incorrect Use – Overloading, improper voltage input, or operating outside rated specifications.
- Unauthorized Modifications – Tampering, third-party repairs, or non-approved software updates.
- Normal Wear & Tear – Including fading, cosmetic defects, or non-performance-related aging.
5. Warranty Claim Process
- Submit a Claim – Provide proof of purchase, delivery documentation, and charger serial number.
- Initial Diagnosis – IGP will conduct remote troubleshooting to determine the issue.
- Manufacturer Assessment – If required, the case will be escalated to Teison for evaluation.
- Resolution – If approved, IGP will arrange for replacement or repair.
- Warranty claims do not cover logistics, removal, reinstallation, or travel costs unless explicitly stated.
6. Spare Parts & Repair Services
6.1 Spare Parts Availability

- Parts will be supplied based on availability from Teison.
- Repairs or part replacements outside the warranty period will be chargeable.
7. Installation Warranty (Separate from Product Warranty)
7.1 Installation Warranty Coverage
For chargers installed by IGP, a 1-year installation warranty applies, covering:

- The installation warranty starts from the date of installation acceptance.
7.2 Extended Installation Warranty Option
Customers can extend the installation warranty for an additional 1 year (total 2 years) for RM100, covering:
- Workmanship defects
- Corrective maintenance for workmanship-related issues
- The extension must be purchased before the original installation warranty expires.
- (Note: This does NOT extend the charger’s manufacturer warranty.)
7.3 Limitation of Installation Warranty
- Some houses have aging electrical wiring and appliances that may be susceptible to damage when the main switch is turned off and back on during charger installation.
- While IGP will take all necessary precautions, IGP shall not be held liable for any damage to electrical circuits, appliances, or wiring outside of our installation scope.
8. Recommended Maintenance Schedule
To ensure long-term performance, annual or biannual inspections are recommended:

- Maintenance services can be provided by IGP at an additional cost.
9. On-Site Support & Service Charges

- If installation was NOT done by IGP, a service fee will be charged for all on-site support.
- Out-of-warranty services (diagnostics, site visits, repairs) will be charged based on labor, travel, and material costs.
10. Limitation of Liability
- IGP is not liable for consequential damages, indirect losses, or business disruptions caused by charger failure.
- Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer approval (Teison).
- Teison’s liability is limited to repair or replacement only, at their discretion.
11. Changes to Terms & Conditions
Customers should check the latest warranty terms before making claims.
